This firm was established by the founding partner Maxwell Kream in 1932 fresh from a Boston University, Bachelor of Laws Degree. In the beginning, the firm concentrated on all aspects of civil law, residential real estate, collections, corporations, contract, litigation, wills and trusts. Through the years the concentration of the practice first centered around plaintiff's tort matters and was followed closely by commercial and retail collections. In 1972 Richard Kream joined the firm. He attended the University of Pittsburgh Undergraduate School and acquired his Juris Doctor Degree from the New England School of Law. In 1976 the firm pioneered with the first computerized handling of collection matters in this state. Custom computer software was designed first for an IBM system 32 and shortly thereafter an IBM system 34. The firm was then able to handle a much larger volume of collection matters with the computer processing all of the bookkeeping services as well as keeping track of the court hearing dates and the standard diary and tickler files. There were also screens summarizing the status of the litigation along with collection notes. R. Mark Seitsinger with a Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law, joined the firm in 1987 as trial counsel. This firm is a member of a group of Massachusetts Commercial and Retail Collection Attorney's who cooperate with each other in certain court appearances throughout the state. This enables us to handle matters all over the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Retail and commercial collections have been the primary concentration for almost twenty years. We represent a number of nationwide agencies as well as a number of Massachusetts banks, credit unions and businesses. We are bonded when cases are forwarded through a membership in the International Lawyers List, the Forwarder's List, the Wright Holmes Law List, and the National List of Attorneys. We are also members of the National Attorney's Retail Collection Association (NARCA) and the Commercial Law League Association (CLLA). We have been appointed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Special Attorneys General to handle debts due to the Commonwealth. In late 1998 the firm realized that the software that served us so well for many years would no longer be effective for the new millenium. We then began a process of reviewing all the latest PC based packages. We chose the CLS package and have been quite pleased with the transitioning to that new technology. We are now able to receive claims electronically and report statuses to our clients electronically, and as technology advances, we will maintain with our CLS partners the ability to take advantage of these inhancements. We pride ourselves in the personal attention that we are able to devote to our individual clients. As opposed to the average collection office you will find our office is available at all times for questions or status reports on any case. We are able to customize our collection procedures as needed by individual clients taking into consideration there special needs and requirements. We feel very comfortable in the area of collection law and of course comply with both State and Federal laws pertaining to consumer debt. To hear more about our office and our abilities to assist you please call 781-331-9333 or email Richard Kream. |
